Tzatziki Sauce

This is a creamy Greek sauce made with yogurt and cucumber. It is great along with vegetables, pitta bread or with grilled chicken.

​

Ingredients:

​

  • 1 big cucumber sliced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 5 to 7 garlic cloves, minced (use less if you don't like too much garlic)

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper

 

Grate the cucumbers in a food processor. Transfer to a fine strainer over a bowl to drain. Squeeze dry by pressing with a spoon.

In another bowl, place the garlic with the salt, vinegar, olive oil and mix it.

​

Add the grated cucumber to the garlic mix. Add the yogurt and pepper. Combine it all.

Store in a closed jar in the refrigerator.
